FRIENDS OF HAWAII ROBOTICS TO HOST  2014 FIRST ROBOTICS REGIONAL COMPETITION   WHAT: Friends of Hawaii Robotics to host the FIRST in Hawaii Robotics Regional Competition, presented by BAE Systems and Oceanic Time Warner Cable. Friends of Hawaii Robotics invites the public to attend the 2014 regional competition, as 43 teams from local and international high schools compete for the chance to participate in the World Championships in St. Louis, Mo. onApril 25-26. Students will use their robots created during the six-week build season to complete a variety of tasks within the high-energy Aerial Assist game.       The FIRST in Hawaii Robotics Competition (FRC) is an annual competition that challenges high school students, working alongside professional mentors, to design and build robots of their own and compete in a contest that measures the effectiveness of each robot, the power of teamwork and collaboration and gracious professionalism.      WHEN: Friday and Saturday, March 28 to 29, 2014 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m.   WHERE: University of Hawaii Stan Sheriff Center  1355 Lower Campus Rd.   INFO: The FIRST in Hawaii Robotics Regional Competition is free and open to the public.
