HAWAII BONE MARROW DONOR REGISTRY CELEBRATES 20TH ANNIVERSARY WITH GIVE 2 LIVE FUNDRAISER
Nov 13, 2009
The Hawaii Bone Marrow Donor Registry will celebrate its 20th anniversary with “Give 2 Live,” a 70s themed dance party to help raise funds to support the organization’s mission. The evening will feature live music, food and a raffle drawing.
The Hawaii Bone Marrow Donor Registry was founded in 1989 and joined the National Marrow Donor Program to help patients in Hawaii and all over the world find healthy and willing bone marrow or blood stem cell donors. Only 30 percent of patients will find matching donors within their families; therefore, others need to find unrelated matches.
More than a dozen live musical talents will entertain guests throughout the evening, including Powerhouse, Greenwood, Glass Candle, Natural High, H2O, Soulz, RKSB, Aura, Phase 7, Elements, and Shining Star.
Tickets for the event are $50 ($20 tax deductible) or $500 for a reserved table for 10 or $600 for 12. For tickets, please contact Annie Yonashiro at 741-1222 or Wes Fujimoto at 224-9987.
