Hospice Hawaii Hosts Annual Na Hoa Malama Benefit Fundraiser

Nov 8, 2014
6:00 pm until 10:00 pm

With a “Mission: Possible!” theme, Hospice Hawaii’s flagship fundraiser, Na Hoa Malama, will draw inspiration from beloved secret agent franchises like James Bond and Mission: Impossible. The evening of excitement, intrigue and martinis (shaken, not stirred) will also pair fine wines with a gourmet dinner. In addition, there will be a silent auction and celebration of Hospice Hawaii’s Heroes and Friends. This year’s honorees are Edith Kawakami, co-founder of Iolani Sportswear, and Julius Telang, a pediatric patient.

Additionally, Hospice Hawaii will recognize the following Community Awardees:

  • Healthcare Professionals of the Year: Dawn Miaai MD, of Straub Hospital and Clinic, and Michelle Cantillo, RN, of Hawaii Pacific Health
  • Healthcare Organization of the Year: Kaiser Permanente – Inpatient Palliative Care Program
Philanthropist of the Year: Dot Mason and George Mason Fund
  • Community Supporter of the Year: Hawaii Energy Connection

Proceeds will benefit Hospice Hawaii’s programs and services.

For table sponsorships and event information, call Hospice Hawaii at 791-8075. To make a silent auction donation, send an email to Kanani Imai at kimai@hospicehawaii.org. Hospice Hawaii will accept gift certificates for dining, health and wellness services, museums, attractions, events, artwork, sporting goods, travel, jewelry, and hotel accommodations.
