Kualoa To Host Third Annual Ohana Country Fair and HWRA All-Girls Rodeo

Kualoa will host its third annual Ohana Country Fair and Hawaii Women's Rodeo Association (HWRA) All-Girls Rodeo on Saturday, October 6, 2012, from 8:30 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.  Admission to the fair, and the concert, is $2 per adult; children 12 and under are free.  

The third annual fair will begin at 8:30 a.m. with rodeo fun including barrel racing, steer underrating, roping, calf mugging, mix barrel racing.  Guests will enjoy down-home country cooking including chili, Kualoa beef and baked treats.   New to this year's event is an afternoon beer and wine garden; entertainment by country music favorites Gordon Freitas Duo, Country Stone and Dita Holifield & Red Handed; a dinner and evening film screening of Paniolo O Hawai´i, Cowboys of the Far West by award winning producer and director, Edgy Lee.        

Schedule of events:

8:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. Rodeo events and fair including food booths, crafts, games, petting zoo and keiki horse rides

10:00 a.m. Hayrides begin

1:00 p.m. Mechanical bull open

2:00 p.m. Beer and wine garden opens

2:30 p.m. Gordon Freitas Duo takes the stage

3:30 p.m. Country Stone takes the stage

5:00 p.m. Dita Holifield & Red Handed takes the stage

6:15 p.m. Film screening of Paniolo O Hawai´i, Cowboys of the Far West

Following the concert, guests are invited to stay and enjoy a delicious dinner and screening of Paniolo O Hawai´i, Cowboys of the Far West.  Admission to the movie is $5 per adult; $2 per child, 3-12 years old includes popcorn.  The dinner and film package is $20 per adult; $6 per child.  Dinner will include an assortment of food including ribs, chicken with gravy, corn on the cob, pineapple slaw, baked beans and a beverage.
