World renowned Japanese photographer, Mika Ninagawa, has produced a series of photographs with the theme of "Paradise” specifically for exhibit at DFS Galleria Waikiki.
The concept for the exhibit started with a Facebook campaign. DFS posted her photographs representing a “Paradise” theme on the Japan DFS site and asked its followers to vote on the images that best portrayed that theme. Ninagawa has an active social media presence with more than 200,000 Twitter followers. The exhibit is open and free to the general public.

Mika Ninagawa is Japan's most popular celebrity photographer. Her aesthetic and work extended beyond the photography itself, she went on to fashion collaboration projects with Celine and Mastermind among others. In 2007, she directed her first film “SAKURAN” to start off her career as a film director. Her second film “Helter Skelter” recorded more than 2.1 billion Japanese yen at the box office.
