SWE hosted presentation: Properties of Asteroids

Society of Women Engineers Hawaiian Islands Section (SWE-HI) on Maui is hosting Dr. JD Armstrong of the Institute for Astronomy (University of Hawaii). 

The presentation will focus on two student projects measuring the density and composition of asteroids.  The projects were nationally recognized by winning first prize for Earth/Space Science at the Utah State Science and Engineering Fair (Kelsey Barber) and first place at the Hawai’i State Science and Engineering Fair (Stephanie Spear). Dr. Armstrong is the enthusiastic Maui Technology Education and Outreach Specialist at the Institute for Astronomy (IfA) on Maui.
