As a direct bank, face-to-face meetings with customers are few and far-between. Building trust among customers by offering simple, innovative products and transparent customer service has helped to grow our customer base to nearly eight million savers in 10 years. We’ve successfully opened seven Cafés throughout the country and have launched multiple social media initiatives on Twitter and Facebook that have helped to increase the trust our customers have in our brand. Recognizing that a company is only as trustworthy as the employees behind it, we make it a point to hire workers who show a passion for helping Americans save their money and clearly demonstrate their commitment to our cause. Keeping our employees engaged throughout the year with team-building activities and leadership town halls has proven to be an effective way of strengthening the trust and respect between leadership and employees.
