This entry also received the Jack C. Lipman, AIA Members’ Choice Award, which was established in 1999 to honor one of the Hawai‘i chapter’s distinguished past presidents. This award recognizes outstanding achievement in design, appropriate to Hawai‘i’s climate and culture.

C-MORE represents the new era of science and is the first laboratory in Hawai‘i to receive LEED Platinum Certification. The three ideas that guided the architectural design were collaboration, transparency and representation.
