Sales & Marketing Executives International (SMEI) Honolulu recently held an event to honor winners of the 2012 Distinguished Sales & Marketing Awards program. SMEI has collected some of the best salespeople in the state honoring them in these categories:

Tom currently serves as the Vice Presiden and General Manager for Expedia Local Expert® – Hawai’i. Tom is responsible for growing Expedia’s personal and group concierge services throughout the state of Hawaii, partnering with more than 600 destination experiences and lodging partners.
He also coordinates with Expedia’s supply team to ensure Expedia provides the best selection of destination experiences and activities to travelers through- out Hawaii, across a range of preferences and budgets.
Before joining Expedia, Tom was Vice President, Global Product Sales for Viator Inc. with primary responsibility for developing and implementing Viator’s worldwide product acquisition and supplier management initiatives for the company’s direct-to-consumer retail site.

Robert ‘Bob’ Holcomb
Outstanding would be an understatement; Bob is the epitome of a truly great sales professional. In his 24 years with Big Island Toyota, Bob has always been on time and is dependable. Permanently positive, he treats everyone he comes into contact with equally. He consistently surpasses his sales goals and follows every deal to completion. 95% of his customers are repeat buyers or are referred by past clients. He has maintained a minimum fifteen car average for over five years! In addition to being one of our most important assets, he’s an incredible father of two and has been married for 25 years.
Anne is a creative writer, broadcast producer, public relations, social media, and marketing strategy person. During her career she’s founded ad agencies, educated college students, and received every major international marketing and advertising award including CLIO, IBA, ANDY and ADDY awards.
Since joining Pacific Aviation Museum Pearl Harbor in May 2008, the Museum has experienced explosive growth. Attendance more than doubled and the Museum was named one of TripAdvisor’s “Top 10 Aviation Attractions,” selected from over 600 attractions nationally.
Joining UHA in 2002 as a Premium Billing Representative, Kimberly Soares soon developed a passion for sales. This led to her 2005 promotion to Account Representative with the sales team. Proving her success with high marks in customer retention, she was promoted to Account Executive in 2008. Soares now focuses full time on delivering excellent service while helping companies improve their bottom line. Consistently meeting and often exceeding sales goals, she’s received numerous “UHA Top Producer” awards.
Soares loves being with her husband and four children and is actively involved in the community as an American Cancer Society volunteer.
