Experts in Real Estate

A few of our Past Presidents at our 2011 holiday membership meeting; Rochelle Gregson, CEO, center/first row

The real estate market has experienced many ups and downs throughout the years, but the Honolulu Board of REALTORS® (HBR) has been there to provide expert advice and guidance to clients looking to make the major decision of buying or selling their home. Since 1922, the HBR has positioned itself as a resource and advocate to the community, providing professional assistance to buyers and sellers and ensuring the best possible experience. As the trusted voice of the real estate industry on Oahu, HBR also makes significant contributions to the community every year. REALTORS® are actively involved in the community. They are committed to creating a sense of place in their local neighborhood. Instead of just selling homes, they are investing in communities.

HBR has grown over the last 90 years into one of the largest trade organizations on Oahu and one of the largest of 1,500 boards of REALTORS® in the nation. The organization has always focused on ensuring the success of its members. Led by an elected Board of Directors, comprised of HBR members, they are actively involved in many efforts to promote business and community growth.

Being a member of HBR means adhering to a strict Code of Ethics and professional standards. The professional experience REALTORS® gain from their membership in HBR allows for their continued success and growth within the field of real estate. Additionally, the Code of Ethics fosters trust between clients and their REALTORS®.

“Over the years we’ve seen many changes in real estate, but one thing that has always been consistent is the high quality and ethical standards of our REALTORS®,” says HBR CEO Rochelle Lee Gregson. “We look forward to the future success of our organization and seeing each individual member thrive.”

“Perhaps the most important message that we try to convey is that homeownership can be achieved with a little guidance from a professional,” adds Gregson.  By encouraging and providing assistance to buyers and sellers, HBR promotes home ownership and in turn helps make local communities and economies stronger.

As HBR looks to the future, it remains committed to its mission: to cultivate REALTORS® with a high degree of professionalism, training, integrity and industry expertise.  That’s exactly what the organization has done for the last 90 years.
