Successful projects depend on successful relationships. An enduring conviction held by Nordic PCL Construction Inc. has helped to ensure its continued success since it was first established in Honolulu in 1938 as Nordic Construction Company.
Over the past 74 years, ownership has evolved, along with the name, which was changed to Nordic PCL Construction Inc. in April 2008 after the acquisition of Nordic Construction, Ltd. by PCL Construction Services based in Denver. But what has remained the same is the company’s strong dedication to employing a team of people committed to providing exceptional service with utmost integrity.

With a team of 180 employees, Nordic PCL Construction Inc. promotes a casual and somewhat flexible work environment that everyone can enjoy. The teamwork mentality is not limited to the confines of the company. Nordic PCL Construction Inc.’s staff takes pride in many community service ventures. “We are a staunch supporter of the Aloha United Way (AUW),” Kaneshige says. “We hold various fundraising events, and our parent company will match dollar for dollar on contributions made to AUW.” The company also supports the annual Special Olympics and participates in periodic beach cleanups as well.
