Hospice Hawaii has been proudly serving the community since 1979. The not for profit organization provides comprehensive, interdisciplinary care to patients with life-limiting illnesses, and counseling and respite support to their families. With services on Oahu and Molokai, the organization’s mission is to bring hope, reduce fears, and impact lives.
Institute of Human Services
IHS provides respite for those who are unsheltered and solutions that transform the lives of homeless and at-risk people. It envisions a community where everyone has a right to and responsibility for safe, decent and affordable housing. Designing and implementing meaningful, systemic solutions to homelessness, IHS actively aligns with others in the community to advocate for improved policies and services that help individuals and families lift themselves out of homelessness.
People Attentive to Children
Since 1976, PATCH has been Hawaii’s only statewide agency specializing in child care resource and referral services and the professional development of those in the early childhood education field. Its mission is to improve and support the quality and availability of care for children. PATCH offers many programs for child care workers, parents, and their children, including: a resource and referral service to find child care; food for low-income children in care; and the recruitment, training, and support of child care professionals.
