Hawaii's Top Employers 2013: America's Mattress

Each year, the America’s Mattress Hawaii Team celebrates its success by closing down its eight retail stores and four warehouses to have fun. This past February, the entire team got together on the Big Island for several days of great food, drink, activities, camaraderie and of course a waterslide. Since they have stores in Kona and Hilo and on Maui and Oahu the Celebration Trip is a great opportunity for everyone to get together face to face and learn more about their teammates. Also, because everyone one is together, it allows the company to recognize its leaders and top performers.

Founder and President, Chris Eldridge, attributes the growth and success of America’s Mattress to timely and open communication and its belief in and adherence to its Core Values:

The company has daily, weekly and monthly huddles to ensure ideas and concerns are communicated throughout the organization and each team member feels part of America’s Mattress mission to provide great products and service to our customers.
