U BS Financial Services Inc. has added another accolade to its continued growth and success in Hawaii.  In addition to being named to Hawaii Business’ Top 250 list in 2011, UBS achieved Hawaii Business’ Best Places to Work honor for 2012.

“This is the result of providing an outstanding work environment for our associates to excel in their careers,” says Director Sean Satterfield.

“We are in the business of building relationships not only with our clients, but also with our Associates.  Being named as one of ‘the Best Places to Work’ is a testament that we are doing things right and our business is flourishing in Hawaii,” says Satterfield.\

UBS provides comprehensive wealth management to private, institutional, corporate and international clients.  In recent years, providing investment advice has been no easy task. Navigating through tough economic cycles can add stress to the work environment.

“We deal with market challenges by sharing ideas, educating and collaborating with our local colleagues. We also utilize the global reach of UBS,” says Satterfield.  Associates meet weekly to discuss their insights into the challenges ahead.

“We can share our ideas or concerns openly among our peers and are supported by a strong local leadership team,” says Financial Advisor, Ronald Kikawa.

The firm’s local leadership understands the personal responsibilities associates face and supports these obligations with family activities and flexible schedules.  UBS events include: Family Movie Day, Summer UBS picnic, company scavenger hunt, and multiple-holiday celebrations, including the annual Halloween party.  In addition to a great work culture, UBS also affords its Associates generous benefits, including medical/dental/vision plans, 401(k) with matching contributions, continuing education reimbursement, as well as holiday, personal and volunteer paid time off.

Supporting the local community has also been a priority in the UBS culture, and the Hawaii office is no different.  In recent years, the local office has donated time and money into several charities including: United Cerebral Palsy, Aloha United Way, Honolulu Theater for Youth, and March of Dimes, among many others.

The UBS Hawaii office has also gained recognition nationally within UBS as a Leadership Council Winner—one of the top rated offices in the United States.

“The Hawaii office embodies the key characteristics required to be successful in our industry: relationship building, unmatched financial services experience and community involvement,” says Randy Grossblatt, Managing Director for the UBS Southwest Region.

“They have done a remarkable job securing their footprint as a leader in Hawaii, and I am so proud of Sean and his team for their continued achievements.  The individuals in this office embody the highest standards of a positive UBS culture."
