Best Practices #1:Servco has invested many resources into enhancing the Wellness programs throughout the company this year. Yen We have annual healthpass screenings at the worksite, on company time and at no cost to the employee. At the screenings, employees have their general health check up, cholesterol check, blood pressure check, body composition, EKG (offered bi-annually). Participants receive in private consultation with a health care professional and they receive a detailed report they can share with their personal physician. Yen A group cash incentive is in place to encourage participation in the wellness program by location. This incentive provides $50 per employee who participated in the OhealthpassO screening for each work group that attains a 75% participation rate for OhealthpassO screenings. This amount is then given to the work group to use for their company functions such as holiday parties and picnics. Yen We also offer free flu shots at the worksite and on company time. Yen A health education (wellness) workshop series is offered to employees that include such topics as exercise, nutrition and stress management. The classes are offered at various locations so as to encourage participation during the lunch period as brown bag sessions. Yen We are working with one of our medical carriers to pilot a program called Ogo Get on TrackO. Each employee was encouraged to create an online account and track their daily activities for at least 18 of 24 weeks. Employees must commit to (and record) 30 minutes of moderate activity at least 3 times a week. As part of our pilot program, each of the above wellness activities is given a point value (25-50 points). The points will be converted into dollars whereby each employee has the opportunity to receive up to $150 cash incentive for their participation.
Best Practices 2:Long Term Care: We offer our employees the opportunity to enroll their parents, parent-in-laws, grandparents and grandparent-in-laws directly through our group carrier at the same group rates extended to our employees. Yen Dependent Care: Employees are given the opportunity to enroll in a Dependent Care (DDC) flexible spending account. Eligible expenses include custodial day care for the elderly. The company pays 100% of the monthly administrative fee for the dependent care flexible spending account.
Differentiating Practice:Leading by Values assists us to send the message that what we do AND how we do it are our competitive advantage. With the grassroots development of our corporate values, and our consistent attention to the communication and reinforcement of these values, our culture is strongly set to treat each other as customers, to respect each other and the external customer, to be team oriented, achievement based, and service focused at all times. Our Officer role includes an expectation that all officers serve the community in some capacity. Servco supports these activities on company time. Over the past few years, more managers are also investing in the community. ServcoOs culture strongly supports being a great community citizen. The Fukunaga Foundation community scholarship program is another example of our culture. This program offers college scholarships to deserving students.
