The residents of Kaui need to get well organized. Form a association with at least 2,000 to 3000 people. Elect officers from all areas of the island,sit down & meet with your elected officials. Discuss with them the agenda, have a mission statement about your association. There are other organizations that will help yours on the mainland. There is strength in numbers. The elected officials should want to work with you if they plan to keep getting elected. Make the building codes tougher for the larger projects. This is all a postive effort to keep the island safer for future generations to come. The days of a out of town developer coming in and making a fast buck and leaving are over.
