Mail Recall
By Jason Ubay

The U.S. Postal Service switched from leather bags to nylon bags in 1970. Maybe the folks at J.Crew never got that letter. The popular outfitter recently introduced “the original” leather Postal Messenger, a handmade carrier that makes other messenger bags look like yesterday’s mail. Artisans select and sew the leather and set every copper rivet by hand. In addition, each bag is hand-stained and polished. The Postal Messenger is big enough to pack a laptop, magazines, an umbrella and, of course, the daily mail. $800, jcrew.com |
