An Eight-Year Collaboration
Thank you for the remarkable article “Loving Liliha: How Small Businesses Can Revive Their Neighborhoods” (April). You have created and captured a model for all struggling neighborhoods by outlining the steps that a community should take to revitalize and improve its surroundings.
Many community members and business leaders collaborated to improve Liliha. After eight years, we have come a long way, but we still have much work ahead. However, your article serves as a testimony to our efforts, and it is an unparalleled source of pride for the community.

Best Place to Work, but then he quits
I’m confused. If Timothy Schools says American Savings Bank is one of the Best Places to Work in Hawaii (April), then why did he resign days after the article was printed?!
What’s behind his quick resignation?
