Lost and Found
By Jason Ubay
When people lose their cell phones, digital cameras, laptops and PDAs, the gadgets usually stay that way. However, with the arrival of StuffBak, more lost items might turn up found. Here’s how it works: Tag your stuff (without private information) and when those items with a StuffBak label are found, finders simply report the label number to the company’s Web site or call StuffBak, which acts as a third party, reconnecting owners with their items. The finders then receive $20 worth of labels along with a reward from the owner. In independent media tests, purposefully lost labeled items showed a more than 75 percent return rate. Labels start at $4.95, but are cheaper when bought in bulk.
