Many of us struggle to eat right, unsure of what that really means. Chef Leslie Ashburn understands, having changed her own diet many times. The owner of Macrobiotic Hawaii aims to help as a teacher and personal chef. “There’s so much personal development that happens with eating and your diet,” Ashburn says. Some people who have changed their diets have lowered their blood pressure, reduced reliance on medications, lost weight and more.
After studying and practicing macrobiotic principles in Japan, Ashburn found her calling.
“I have a passion to share the transformative power of whole foods and healthy living with others,” she explains on her website, www.macrobiotichawaii.com.
How do you eat better? Find a teacher.
“You can do it from a book, but it is a lot more fun to be in a class and have the support of all the other students.”
