SHOOT Better Photos
We won’t bog you down with specifics, but suffice it to say, the casual photography enthusiast can’t go wrong with the Nikon D50. It’s got a sturdy frame, is surprisingly affordable and takes stunning pictures.

GET Your Mod On
British diva Amy Winehouse’s sultry musical style is a throwback to vintage sixties soul. We’re mad for all her songs, but especially love “You know I’m no good” and “Rehab.”

SNORKEL By moonlight
Every second Saturday, Hanauma Bay stays open until 10:00 p.m., giving visitors to the marine sanctuary a rare and unique look at Hawaii’s ocean life after dark.

APPLE OF YOUR EYES

The days of the DVD are now numbered, thanks to the arrival Apple TV last March. The 1-inch-tall, pizza boxlike console enables users to beam music, podcasts, TV shows and movies from their iTunes-installed computer to their television set. The New York Times called it “an iPod for the TV.” Uh oh. $300, www.apple.com

SEOUL PLANE

Are you a road warrior looking for a swift and hassle-free airport experience with minimal contact with staff? Or are you a leisure traveler, who values a clean terminal and safe and comfortable waiting areas? Either way, you’re going to love Incheon International Airport. Last March, the Airport Council International (ACI) named Incheon, which services Seoul, South Korea the “Best Airport Worldwide.” It was the second year in a row that the airport has won the award, which is based on customer service surveys conducted throughout the year. Here’s the rest of the list, along with ACI’s ranking of the Best Airports in the Americas:

CITY WITHIN A CITY

Where: Culver City, CA
What: Sophisticated urban living
Why: Culver City used to be Los Angeles’ Oakland (there was no there there). Now it’s a Southern California version of Chelsea. The pocket-size town (population 38,813), located near Santa Monica, Venice and Beverly Hills, is home to the huge and historic Sony Pictures Studios (formerly MGM Studios) and up until a few years ago, little else. Today, Culver City is one of L.A.’s most stylish neighborhoods, featuring chic restaurants and high-end design and home furnishing stores.

Don’t Miss: Ford’s Filling Station, where chef Benjamin Ford (Harrison’s son) serves stylish pub food. The Helm’s Furniture District is a converted bakery, which houses dozens of too-cool-to-be-true furniture and design stores.

It also features a large library of POIs, or in travelspeak, points of interest, such as hotels, restaurants, gas stations, ATMs and more.
