It’s hard to imagine a better match: Bette Midler and Las Vegas. Last February, the Divine Miss M opened her $10 million extravaganza, The Showgirl Must Go On, at the Caesar’s Palace Coliseum, to rave reviews. For 90 minutes, the onetime Island girl mixes Vegas glitz with Midler naughtiness. The show, which is scheduled for a two-year run, is intended for mature audiences.
