What is it:
Claudia, from the Jimmy Choo Spring 2009 Collection. The African-inspired stiletto features a mix of mirrored leather and calfskin with hand-woven detail and hand-hammered rivets. A special highlight is its oh-so-wicked 5-inch metallic bronze stiletto heel.
Why so special:
It’s a Limited Edition shoe with only 120 made for this season and sold only in the U.S.
Who will buy it:
“We get a mix of local residents and Asian visitors buying our products, including our Limited Edition exclusives,” says Joell Hashimoto, manager of the only Jimmy Choo boutique in Hawaii, at Ala Moana Center. By mid-March, Hashimoto had already sold two of the four sent to her in early March. And yes, she can call Jimmy Choo outlets on the Mainland to check on your size.
Where to wear:
Day to evening, says Hashimoto. “It’s a stylish pop with a business suit and strikingly elegant with a little black dress.”
Will it go on sale:
Hashimoto smiles. “Never happens with our Limited Editions.”
