 	&ldquo\;Hiroshi is retiring. He may still paint occasionally\, but he is 
 now living at Holiday Retirement in Hawaii Kai and enjoying leisure time\,
 &rdquo\; noted Powell. &ldquo\;This show is an excellent opportunity to se
 e Hiroshi and add Hiroshi Tagami originals to their art collections\,&rdqu

 cklighter\, ceramics.</p>\n<p>\n	Powell\, Tagami&rsquo\;s art prot&eacute\
 ;g&eacute\; and life partner\, will continue to paint and is now teaching 
 private lessons in landscape art at the Tagami and Powell Art Gallery &amp
 \; Gardens in Kahaluu Valley\, which will continue to be open by appointme
 nt.</p>\n<p>\n	Born in Schofield Barracks\, the sixth of 12 children\, Tag
 ami spent much of his youth laboring on plantations because his father die
 d young. His interest in art came early at five or six years old in Japane
 se school where drawing was part of the curriculum.</p>\n<p>\n	Hiroshi Tag
 ami greeting people from 11 am to 1 pm on both show days.</p>\n<p>\n	His p
 assion and talent aroused\, he won some awards in high school and moved fr
 om drawing to photography to art. He also developed an insatiable interest
  in horticulture\, endangered species and birds. Tagami&rsquo\;s paintings
