Honsador Holding LLC.

January, 2015

15-Jan-HB-Honsador-01For more than 80 years, the hardworking professionals at all of Honsador Holding’s affiliates have provided builders and homeowners with high-quality materials and dependable service, evolving the company from a small sash and door business founded in 1935, into the state’s largest building materials supplier. Now, with 15 locations across the Islands and a distribution hub in Portland, Oregon, Honsador Holding has become Hawaii’s preferred one-stop resource for residential and commercial building products and services.

The largest of Honsador Holding’s affiliates, Honsador Lumber, features a wide selection of framing lumber and plywood, cabinetry, doors, countertops, interior and exterior finishes and windows, and even extending to its own private collection of high-quality finish materials through the “Islander” label. The company also offers a variety of design/build services, including home-planning and prepackaged home kits under the exclusive “Island Homes Collection®” line.  Honsador’s dedication to eco-friendly building practices and using sustainably-grown lumber from the Pacific Northwest’s well-managed forests has set the standard for wood in Hawaii.

Complimenting Honsador’s building products division is Alpha Electrical Supply, which distributes key brands of electrical products to the trade, commercial facilities such as hotels, hospitals and offices and the utilities around the state.  Honsador Truss and Honolulu Wood Treating provide the company with manufacturing options from which to expand.  Rounding out the Honsador Holding family of affiliates is HWT, a unique two-step distributor who brings key brands such as Simpson Strong-Tie and TrusJoint Engineered Wood Products to the Islands.

Today, propelled by our financial partner, Grey Mountain Partners, Honsador is committed to continue its growth by diversifying its product offerings, such as its new roofing business, Honsador Roofing Supply LLC, which has grown increasingly popular on the outer Islands and will be available at the Oahu location this year.

“We have a proven self-sufficient, diverse business model.  This is a vital attribute that provides the resiliency we need to ensure a sustainable Hawaii-grown company for our employees and customers for the next 80 years,” explained Peter Schiller, CEO of Honsador Holding. “Our approximately 300 employees are the most important asset of our organization. It is a pleasure to work with such a wonderful group of people who really care about their company and their loyal customers.”
