Established in 1973, Paul Johnson Park & Niles has built a firm of talented individuals whose diverse backgrounds and legal skills allow it to solve a wide array of business and litigation problems. A firm of 14 lawyers with offices in Honolulu and on Mau`i, PJPN has earned a reputation for successfully taking the lead as counsel in large complex commercial cases in Hawai`i’s courts and in arbitrations and mediations. The firm has also handled some of Hawaii’s largest real estate and business transactions, representing a local, national and international clientele.
In the past decade, PJPN’s seasoned litigators and real estate lawyers have represented several of Japan’s largest investors and banks in the aftermath of the burst of the Bubble Economy in the early 1990s.
The firm has also represented owners and developers in transactions and disputes involving prominent development projects, including a Big Island destination resort complex, a continuing care retirement facility in Honolulu and several Waikiki hotels. Its real estate and corporate department has successfully closed transactions involving large tracts of land, shopping centers, office buildings and apartment complexes throughout the State. PJPN has also assisted both lessees and lessors in voluntary and involuntary fee conversions.
PJPN takes an active role in representing some of Hawaii’s community organizations and providing pro bono legal services. Its lawyers serve on numerous boards of charitable and community service organizations, teach law as adjunct professors at the William S.
