Welcome to the 15th annual Black Book/Leadership edition of Hawaii Business magazine. Since 1997, the Black Book has been a valuable resource for Hawaii’s business community. As always, it includes biographies from the executives of the Top 250 companies in Hawaii (August 2011 issue). In addition, we’ve invited other newsmakers including our SmallBiz Success Award Winners(February issue), 20 for the Next 20: People to Watch (March issue), Best Places to Work executives (April issue) and the top 25 of the Top 100 Realtors (June issue).
Biography surveys were emailed in September to nearly 800 Hawaii executives. This year, we received more than 300 biographies. Many appear in this printed edition, but some were omitted due to insufficient information.
In compiling any “who’s who,” some errors will inevitably be made. We hope they are few and apologize for them. We also request that any reader discovering an error please notify us so we can correct it. Biographies were edited due to space restrictions.
Executive biographies reflect titles and employment shown on returned forms as of the time the information was submitted. Executive changes occurring after this date (fall 2011) may or may not be reflected in the biographies.
