Carol holds an MBA, CPCU designation, and serves on the Hawaii Theatre Center Board of Directors, reflecting her strong commitment to both professional excellence and community leadership.

A one-year Asian Studies fellowship at the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa changed his life. He went on to spend 15 years in Japan, Singapore, and China as a journalist, primarily for Reuters and Bloomberg. A decade ago, he returned to Hawai‘i and runs a farm on the Big Island.
