Jay Chun is the director of information technology at Hawaii Dental Service (HDS), where he provides leadership and strategic direction for the organization’s IT operations, infrastructure, cybersecurity, and digital transformation initiatives. He oversees enterprise technology strategy, ensures regulatory compliance, and leads modernization efforts that align technology investments with HDS’s long-term goals. He also serves as HDS’s HIPAA security officer. 

Chun brings more than 25 years of experience in information technology, including 16 years in leadership roles and a strong focus on IT infrastructure, operations, and security. Prior to his current role, he served as technical services manager at HDS, where he led IT infrastructure and operations, cybersecurity protocols, and disaster recovery and business continuity planning. 

A resident of Honolulu, Chun holds a master of science in information systems from Hawai‘i Pacific University and a bachelor of arts in economics from the University of Hawai‘i at Mānoa.
