Tiffany Allen
Tiffany Allen RN, BSN, MS-PSL, CNLCP, LCP-C has been promoted to Regional Director of Global Medical Response Hawai`i, which owns and operates American Medical Response (AMR Ambulance), Hawai`i Life Flight and REACH (Maui MedEvac). She will be responsible for statewide air and ground operations.
Allen brings extensive Emergency Medical Services (EMS), nursing and administrative leadership to this position. In the last year, she led the integration of GMR Hawai`i’s statewide air and ground communication centers on O`ahu.
Previously, as the State Trauma Program Coordinator for the Hawai`i State Department of Health Emergency Medical Services and Injury Prevention System Branch, she facilitated technological improvements such as the conversion of standing orders to a mobile app; obtained Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Service approval of Hawai`i’s ET3 program; helped establish the CDC-funded Hawai`i statewide stroke system; and drafted the approved interim Hawaii administrative rules for EMS treatment without transport, transport to alternative destination and community paramedicine.
Allen holds a Master of Science in patient safety leadership from the University of Illinois, Chicago; a Bachelor of Science in nursing from California State University East Bay; and an Associate of Science with Honors in paramedicine: Pre-hospital Emergency Care from Los Medanos College in Pittsburg, CA. She is board certified by the Certified Nurse Life Care Planner Certification Board in nursing life care planning.
She received the Daisy Award for Extraordinary Nursing at UCLA in 2015, Sigma Theta Tau Nursing Honor Society in 2009 and AMR O`ahu Paramedic of the Year in 2005.
Allen serves as a board member for Ho`ohanu, Hawaii Stroke Coalition and Hawaii Capacity System Governance Committee, respectively.
Global Medical Response (GMR) Hawai`i provides ground and air emergency medical services, interfacility transportation and event medicine throughout the Hawaiian Islands. GMR Hawai`i owns and operates American Medical Response (AMR Ambulance), Hawaii Life Flight, and REACH (Maui MedEvac).
