St. Andrew’s Schools

Hero St Andrews

Since 1867, St. Andrew’s Schools has cultivated courageous, compassionate leaders prepared for a changing world. Founded by Queen Emma Kaleleonalani and grounded in Hawaiian and Episcopal values, our school community inspires every child to Kulia i ka Nu‘u — Strive for the Highest.

From preschool through senior year, our students benefit from inquiry-based learning that draws out their individual strengths in a culture of care. In small classes led by passionate and experienced faculty, students are challenged intellectually and supported emotionally.

At St. Andrew’s, students learn to shape their future. Our curriculum fosters curiosity, empathy, and social responsibility. Students engage with real-world challenges through collaborative, interdisciplinary work. From science and engineering to the arts and humanities, we teach students how to think critically and act with courage.

At our downtown campus, students are steps away from vibrant businesses and the seat of government. Through our Priory in the City program, high school students explore careers, serve their communities, and gain hands-on experience through internships. With personalized career coaching and expert college counseling, they are prepared for success in college and beyond.

At Queen Emma Preschool and our K-12 campus, students thrive in an inclusive, nurturing environment where high expectations are paired with loving guidance. We empower our students to believe in their unique ability to make a difference.

Montessori Community School

Hero Montessori

For more than 50 years, Montessori Community School has been providing a premier Montessori education on O‘ahu.

“Our children joyfully engage with the world, building literacy, numeracy, emotional resilience and compassion, guided towards independence by skilled and loving teachers,” says Head of School Jyo Bridgewater. “A Montessori education means possibilities.”

Based on the research into childhood development and scientific observations of Dr. Maria Montessori, the Montessori Method is time-tested, with over 100 years of success in diverse cultures around the world. Montessori Community School is the only school in Hawai‘i that is fully accredited from preschool through sixth grade by both the American Montessori Society and HAIS.

Our school’s authentic Montessori program fosters independence and enhances decision-making, critical thinking, and time management skills.

Through an inviting and engaging learning environment, Montessori-credentialed teachers nurture all aspects of a child’s development to cultivate well-rounded individuals, developing skills for life. Graduates report that they are well-prepared for the academic rigors of secondary school, with the confidence to meet the challenges of higher education, careers, and family life.

Importantly, Montessori Community School is a place where families make lasting connections. A parent of two students shared, “The school has supported our children and family in so many ways, from the amazing teachers who understand and support our children’s different learning styles, to the beautiful community of parents, faculty, and students who embraced us from our very first day.”

Assets School

Hero Assets School

For 70 years, Assets School has been a beacon of hope and opportunity for students who learn differently. Located in Honolulu, Assets is the only school in Hawai‘i specializing in educating children who are gifted, dyslexic, or have other language-based learning differences. We serve students from kindergarten through 12th grade across our two campuses.

At Assets, we believe there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to education. Our expert faculty members help each student unlock their full potential. With small class sizes and a supportive community, students not only learn — they develop the confidence and resilience to thrive.

Our program integrates rigorous academics with a deep understanding of how students learn best. We emphasize strength-based teaching and self-advocacy skills. Beyond the classroom, students explore their passions in technology, robotics, art, drama, music, mentorship, entrepreneurship, leadership, and athletics, preparing them for life well beyond graduation.

Early reading screenings are available for students in K-3. Additionally, our Transforming Lives Center’s Clinical Director provides assessments of K-12 students attending public, private, and charter schools, or home-schooled. This resource helps families gain clarity around giftedness, dyslexia, other language-based learning differences, and social, emotional, or behavioral challenges. The learning profile becomes a tool for the student, teachers, and family.

At Assets, we see transformation every day: students who once struggled rediscover the joy of learning, gain confidence, and graduate prepared for college, a career, and life. When children are understood and supported, there is no limit to what they can achieve.

Le Jardin Academy

Hero Le Jardin

At Le Jardin Academy, we know that the future of Hawai‘i depends on thoughtful, capable leaders. That’s why our mission extends far beyond academics. As the state’s only PK–12 International Baccalaureate World School, we deliver a rigorous, inquiry-driven education that not only challenges students intellectually, but also shapes their character, creativity, and sense of responsibility.

Grounded in the value of hana pono — doing what is right with care and intention — our students learn to combine knowledge with purpose. They engage in real-world problem solving, from environmental stewardship on Windward O‘ahu to global health initiatives through our partnership with the International Vaccine Institute in Seoul.

Our campus is uniquely situated among marshes, mountains, and the moana, turning Hawai‘i’s natural beauty into an extended classroom. These environments spark curiosity and resilience, helping students connect what they learn to the world around them.

We pride ourselves on strong student-faculty relationships, personalized learning pathways, and hands-on experiences that make learning relevant. Whether in a science lab, on stage, in a robotics workshop, or abroad, LJA students are encouraged to innovate, lead with empathy, and act with vision.

For O‘ahu’s business community, the LJA distinction means a rising generation equipped not only with academic excellence, but with the skills, values, and global perspective to guide Hawai‘i into a brighter future. I invite you to visit our campus and see how LJA is preparing tomorrow’s leaders to make a lasting impact.

Damien Memorial School

Hero Damien

Starting at Damien Memorial School as an incoming seventh grader in 2022 created a new journey in my life. The first day walking through the purple gates, I felt nervous to embark on this unfamiliar chapter. Despite my fears, I created a home within this community and met a village of people who wanted to see me succeed.

With our tight knit environment, everyone has an opportunity to build connections across the grade levels. Especially when it comes to our teachers, they constantly seek our potential as students and to see us grow as individuals.

One thing that piqued my interest since the beginning was the idea that Damien could help me discover who I want to be. With the wide variety of classes, clubs, and sports, you can try new things to find what suits you the best.

At first starting as a shy student, I branched out and began working on my abilities to communicate with others through clubs such as Student Government, taking office first as Freshman President and currently Student Body Press Secretary, Art Club, and even connecting with our campus ministry.

Damien offers a multitude of ways to get involved with the community and make connections that last a lifetime.

I will forever be grateful for the endless opportunities that the Damien Memorial faculty and staff have given me since I first started.

Damien is the place to find your potential, and grow to become the best version of yourself.
