Going the Extra Mile: A Personal Connection
The UPS Store evokes thoughts of its shipping and packing services, but it provides an array of solutions for small business owners and individual customers, projects big and small. This year The UPS Store ranked #2 on Entrepreneur's 2022 Franchise 500 List.

From mailbox rentals to passport photos, notary to shredding services, each independently owned and operated UPS Store also offers document printing, scanning, faxing, binding, laminating, and design of posters, banners, flyers, programs, business cards and booklets. This year The UPS Store ranked #2 on Entrepreneur’s 2022 Franchise 500 List.
In 2015, Eri and Kirk Hashimoto became franchisees of established The UPS Stores in Kailua and on the Kaneohe Marine Corps Base to provide the best educational opportunities for their two sons. Managers and team members at both locations deliver a high level of personal attention whether helping customers create and print a resume or packing and shipping a treasured keepsake. Over the years, the team has shared in their customers’ joy during graduations, homecomings, and birthdays and also empathized with customers’ bidding aloha to the islands or loved ones.

Eri says, “We love it when customers stop by or call us to let us know their special items custom-packed at our stores arrived at the destination safely and their events went well. It’s rewarding to know we can be their one-stop shop and make things simpler for them.”
With both UPS Stores thriving at unprecedented levels, the Hashimotos are expanding their team. They provide paid training in a supportive environment that offers valuable work experience and the potential for professional growth. Kirk says, “This is an energetic workplace where our team members deliver world-class customer service to these communities. Through God-given opportunities and service to others, we learn to embrace going the extra mile and the reward of sincere customer gratitude.”
