On Friday May 4, Hawaii Business held the 31st Annual SBA Awards and Editor’s Choice Awards luncheon at the Prince Waikiki. The celebration brought together the best of small business from all across the state of Hawaii.
The 41st annual ranking of the state’s largest companies and nonprofits shows revenue was up, but the Lahaina catastrophe was widely felt – especially among small and medium businesses with Maui operations.
First Hawaiian Bank's employee giving culture stands out with 98% participation. In 2024, employees contributed $874,000 of their own money, the highest among Hawai‘i companies, while volunteering 11,211 hours. Even retirees continue to give back.
