Hawai‘i companies and nonprofits shattered giving records this year, donating over $349 million to state charities, nearly $50 million more than last year, while employees volunteered 90,000+ hours to support communities still recovering from the Maui wildfires and other critical needs.

107 organizations donated more than $300 million to help Hawai‘i’s nonprofits, with a significant portion going to support Maui’s recovery.

These 78 companies and nonprofits gave more than $217.3 million and 78,692 volunteer hours.

These 51 companies made a difference in 2020. Altogether, they donated more than $91 million and 125,000 volunteer hours.

The annual overview shows local philanthropy remained strong in 2019 – an important foundation for local charities considering the difficult challenges they face this year.

The total of cash and in-kind donations reported on this year's list set a record for the second year in a row.
