RISE Maui, a West Maui Summit for Regeneration, Innovation, and Sustainability
A new Maui summit bringing together local and global thought leaders to unlock new possibilities for Hawai‘i and beyond.

This August, the Hua Momona Foundation is launching the first annual RISE Maui, a new era summit designed to take on the opportunities and challenges of tomorrow. The summit will be at the Hyatt Regency Maui Resort and Spa and Hua Momona Farms, where guests will participate in innovative discussions, food, music, and one-of-a-kind experiences. Visionaries, innovators, healers, and changemakers will gather in West Maui to share their inspiration and manifestos on regeneration, innovation, and sustainability. Featured speakers and panelists include a keynote by computer scientist Sasha Luccioni on AI and climate change, and renowned inventor Jason Resch presenting a quantum entanglement demonstration alongside Rod Roddenberry, executive producer of Star Trek. Gary Grube, Hua Momona President and former CTO of Motorola, will share his insights on the future of AI and resiliency. Bernard Fowler of the Rolling Stones will discuss career sustainability, and there will be an excursion to Oliver Dukelow’s off-the-grid taro farm.

On the sun-drenched sands of the Pacific, Maui cultural guide W. Kamaunu Kahaialii will share the sacred origin story of the islands and the meaning of Hawaiʻi. Celebrated chef Zach Laidlaw will curate vibrant, soul-nourishing meals built on fresh, local ingredients throughout the summit.
