Mahalo for Your Aloha and Support for Maui

As we commemorate the two-year marker since the devastating Maui wildfires of August 2023, our thoughts are with those we lost, and every survivor impacted by this tragedy. But we have also been so inspired and moved by the overwhelming generosity that poured in to support Maui from across the Islands, and around the world.
Through your aloha, the Maui Strong Fund has been able to distribute more than $140 million to support the people and places of Maui affected by the fires, including:
- $71.3 million in Housing and Shelter
- $25.1 million in Direct Financial Assistance
- $7.9 million in Children and Family Services
- $6.1 million in Mental Health and Grief Counseling
- $5.5 million in Food and Supplies
- $5.2 million in Health Care
- $5 million in Immigrant Services
As we look forward, the Hawai‘i Community Foundation remains committed to supporting Maui’s long-term recovery needs, not only through the Maui Strong Fund, but also our House Maui Initiative, which aims to create affordable, sustainable housing for Maui residents.
