Mentor Hawaii Builds the Next Generation of Local Leaders
Hawaii’s largest young professionals mentorship program accepts applications through Jan. 31.

Developing Hawaii’s Future Leaders
For nearly a decade, the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii Young Professionals’ Mentor Hawaii Program, presented by American Savings Bank, has helped shape the state’s next generation of leaders.
Now entering Cohort 11, the six-month program connects young professionals with seasoned executives across Hawaii’s business community, strengthening leadership skills, expanding professional networks, and fostering long-term community impact. Applications are accepted through Jan. 31, 2026.
A Diverse and Experienced Group of 42 Mentors
Founded in 2017 with just four mentors and eight mentees, Mentor Hawaii has grown significantly. Cohort 11 features 42 mentors, including eight longtime leaders who have dedicated more than five years to guiding emerging talent. To date, executives representing nearly 120 organizations have served as mentors, reflecting the program’s broad reach and cross-industry impact.

Program Highlights:
- Personalized Mentorship: One-on-one mentor pairings, complemented by cohort-wide networking events, workshops, and collaborative experiences.
- Diverse Mentor Cohort: Leaders from finance, hospitality, education, technology, nonprofit, health, construction, government, media, and other industries.
- Alumni Success: Nearly 300 alumni have participated, with many receiving recognitions such as Pacific Business News’ 40 Under 40, Hawaii Business Magazine’s 20 For the Next 20, and acceptance into prestigious programs, including Pacific Century Fellows and the Patsy T. Mink Leadership Alliance.

Founded in 2011, the Chamber of Commerce Hawaii Young Professionals program is Hawaii’s largest young professional network, supporting nearly 600 members ages 21-39.
All aspiring leaders are encouraged to apply, including past mentees, with priority given to first-time participants. A minimum of five years of work experience is recommended. Space is limited, and applications are competitive.
